Novant Conference Center

Novant Healthcare, Inc., one of the state’s largest healthcare providers, recently opened a fully-equipped Conference Center on the campus of Forsyth Medical Center, in Winston-Salem, NC. Video Systems of the Carolinas was deeply involved with this project for over two years, providing AV and Videoconferencing design guidelines, conduit design and drawings, and full implementation of all AV systems in the building.

The Center includes 12 conference rooms, all equipped with AV systems for presentations and/or Videoconferencing. Three large rooms can be combined for total seating of 500 people; these spaces are equipped with high-output Sanyo HD projectors, Tandberg HD Videoconferencing equipment, Clear One audio mixers, Tannoy speakers, and full Crestron control systems. Eight other smaller spaces (some of which can be combined) all feature 60” plasma screens, computer, DVD, video, and cable inputs, Tannoy speaker systems, and full Crestron control systems. A final conference room is constructed as a dedicated Videoconference space, using Tandberg, LG, Clear One, and Crestron equipment.

The Center’s AV capabilities also include a sophisticated AV routing and control room where signals can be received and dispatched to the conference rooms, and captured for recording; a Polyvision Room Wizard scheduling system; Magic Box digital signage systems; and a full background music and paging system featuring Tannoy loudspeakers.
