Covidien, formerly Tyco Healthcare one of the world’s largest health care corporations has embraced the use and deployment of videoconference systems for their national and international operations. Large scale deployment of videoconferencing was selected to enhance and increase the level of inter-company communications, while significantly cutting back on travel expenses. VSC designed and integrated the executive videoconference boardroom at their corporate headquarters in Mansfield, MA plus similar executive rooms in Boulder, CO, Miami and Washington DC. As part of the videoconference deployment, VSC coordinated the design and deployment of over 40 Polycom VTC cart systems in the U.S. and 12 countries.

The executive boardroom is a dual use room for both videoconferencing and AV presentation. Features include a custom -built conference table with built-in microphones and laptop computer inputs. The display system includes dual 60” plasmas for videoconferencing plus a wide aspect projection screen with a projection in a ceiling recessed lift. The system includes a custom designed Crestron control system plus a ceiling recessed document camera and a presentation podium.
